What is Social Skills Groups?

Structured group programs teaching social interaction, conversation, and friendship skills.

Evidence Summary

Research on social skills groups for autism is still in early stages. Currently, only one study with emerging-level evidence has been identified, and no participant data is available from reviewed studies. This means we have very limited information about whether these groups help autistic individuals. More high-quality research is needed before we can draw meaningful conclusions about their effectiveness.
